The Sporting Memories Network has been established to promote and develop the use of sporting memories to improve the wellbeing of people through conversation and reminiscence.
We run over 100 sporting memories groups for older people across the UK. Find out more about our groundbreaking work at www.sportingmemoriesnetwork.com.
What are your favourite sporting memories? The moments that make the hairs on your neck stand on end when you think back on them?
Maybe it was meeting your idol and discovering that they were everything you hoped they would be. Perhaps it was a special match, race or moment that you can still see when you close your eyes. Maybe it was something more personal. Sometimes it's not about what you are watching, but who you are watching it with.
Think of all the bookmarks in the story of your life as a sports fan. Flick through them all, pick your favourites … then tell us all about them.

We are looking for people who like to talk about sport.
By volunteering to join one of our local Sports Reminiscence groups, you can improve the lives of older people by helping them talk about the sports and the players of their past. We'll train you to plan and lead these discussions. You'll make a big difference and have a lot of fun.
